The CALIMARA18 apartment has undergone a recent and complete renovation and the furnishings and accessories are all new. We have thought first of all about the comfort of our guests, and for this we have created two bathrooms, one of which is room service. The heating is radiant in the floor for maximum comfort of our guests, and both the bedroom and the living room are equipped with air conditioning. The CALIMARA18 apartment is located in an ancient and popular Prato building that at one time seemed to have been an old mill for wool processing (hence the name Calimala). It is a second floor with exposed beams and terracotta tiles, which can be reached by slightly narrow stairs typical of downtown homes.
The central station of Prato is 900 mtr, walking no more than 10min from the apartment CALIMARA18. From the central station you can reach Florence in 25min and comfortably the other cities of Tuscany such as Lucca, Pisa, Siena. Near the apartment it is easy to park, the Piazzale Porta Fiorentina car park via Antonio Martini along the walls and the Bisenzio river is 300mtr away. The walk along Viale Piave just below the apartment leads to Piazza delle Carceri and the Emperor's Castle. You can have a drink in the cafes along Viale Piave, or dine in one of the many restaurants you will meet as Tuscan trattorias, or sushi, or ethnic to the most elegant and refined restaurants in the downtown; and it will be a pleasure for us to advise you. Continuing your walk through the narrow streets of the center of Prato you will reach Piazza del Comune with its Palazzo Pretorio Museum and then Piazza del Duomo, where the Cathedral of Santo Stefano rises with inside the frescoes by Lippi and outside the pulpit by Donatello used for the display of the Sacred Belt of the Madonna, a precious relic of the city of Prato
